WebMay 11, 2024 · Directv black screen No matter which tv at least a few times a week I’ll turn on directv and see the channel bar but only a black screen and no sound. I can change channels but no picture and no sound. The only way I have resolved this is to unplug the main receiver wait 30 seconds and plug it back in. I have a Samsung RU7100 4k tv and my dtv stream box reccommends the 3840x2160p 60hz setting but my tv's picture isn't the best when it up converts channels that broadcast in 1080 and 720.
